Donovan Dalton

Career Foundation

Mr. Dalton's career commenced in commercial and industrial property brokerage in the early 2000s. Following the 2008 global financial crisis, he transitioned into specialised valuation, joining the South African operation of an international reverse supply chain group, where he rose to Head of Valuations over a decade-long tenure.

Scale of Practice

During that period, Mr. Dalton directed valuation assignments representing several billion rand in aggregate asset value — spanning tangible and intangible asset classes across Africa. His mandates have supported high-value capital transactions, cross-border disposals, restructuring initiatives and complex portfolio rationalisations.

Expert Witness & Governance

Mr. Dalton is regularly instructed in litigious and dispute-resolution matters as an independent expert. He currently serves on three Valuation Appeal Boards for the Western Cape Government, adjudicating statutory appeals under the MPRA — reinforcing his reputation for independence, objectivity and procedural rigour.
